The Area
Residenza CÁ d'MASSËU is situates in a central position in the middle of Valle San Giovanni set on a peacful hill with wonderful view but is also a base to explore the sourrounding area.
Very near to the renovated farmhouse you can find a variety 
of villages and towns with very good infrastructure, supermarkets, different shops and sights. The nearest are Nizza Monferrato, Calamandrana, Canelli and San Marzano Oliveto.
Alba, Asti, Acqui Terme, Alessandria, Cuneo, Barolo, Barbaresco and a lot of other cities can be reached within minutes, large cities like Milan, Turin or Genoa within an hour. The next beach is locates on the italian riviera and is one hour away, world famous San Remo two hours and the french Côte d´azur about 2,5 hours by car.
The fully developed train system facilitate day trips. The next train station is located in Calamandrana (3km), the train station of Alessandria with its good connections to all major cities in Italy and France is about 30km away.
The cities around Calamandrana boast a rich selection of festivals around the year.
Inter alia the siege of canelli, the white thistle of Nizza, the Truffle Fair in Alba, the Battle of Oranges in Ivrea, the Palio in Asti, the Slowfood's Salone del Gusto (Salon of Taste) in Turin, the cheese festival in Bra and lots more. Wineries in the sourrounding areas invite frequently to wine tastings and the awarded piemontese cuisine enchants the guest of the nearby Michelin Star restaurants.
